Birth Doula
I support you from contracts signed, throughout your pregnancy, and from 38 weeks (or a date we have agreed prior) I will go on call for you to attend your birth. My support could look like a phonecall before or after an appointment or scan should you wish to have these, I can also attend appointments with you if you feel this would be beneficial for you*. I can provide evidence based information to help you feel certain your decisions if required. I aim to guide you back to your intuition so you can make your decisions from a place of peace rather than a place of fear.
Throughout pregnancy we will arrange 3 in person sessions where we go through your birth plan, postpartum preparation including feeding support, and anything you feel you need more knowledge or support with. These sessions are usually for 1.5 - 2 hours each.
I have various books you are able to borrow, and I will make up a blend of postpartum healing herbs
As part of my birth doula package, you can use the hire of my birth pool at no extra charge if you are choosing to give birth at home. We will arrange a day before I go on call where I will drop this off to you and show you and your birth partner how to set it up. This would normally be done on the 3rd in person session prior to birth, between 35-37 weeks of pregnancy.
Within a few weeks after the birth we will have a postnatal session, where we can debrief the birth, discuss feeding and address any concerns you may have. After the birth you will have support from me in the form of texts and voice notes, up until 8 weeks post natal.
*Please note attending appointments with you will incur additional charges of £25 per hour. See contract for further details.
Investment £1,200. Payment plans are available.
Postnatal doula
I can be there to support you as you transition to life after birth. This support could include light housework, shopping, folding laundry and ironing. I can take dogs for a walk, play with older siblings, I can top up your water bottle, make you hot drinks, all with the aim of keeping you comfortable and feeling supported.
I am more than happy to look after the baby so you can rest or take a bath, if this is what you wish for, but I completely understand a lot of mums don’t necessarily need the baby held, but they themselves need to be held.
I can offer basic breastfeeding advice and signpost you if necessary.
Investment £25 per hour, minimum of 3 hours per day.
the lotus package
If you want to combine the best of both worlds, this package is the one for you. A doula to support you throughout your pregnancy, birth and postpartum. This package encompasses everything that the Birth Doula package does, plus you get up to 12 hours of in person postnatal doula support taken in 3 hourly blocks. To be used within the first 8 weeks.
Investment £1,500. Payment plans are available.
Contact me to arrange a non-obligatory free 20 minute getting to know you call. From this you can decide to book a one-to-one session where we can meet in person either at your home or virtually, for up to one hour, to see if we will work well together. If inquiring about in-person birth doula support you must book a one hour session* and I would encourage any birth partners to be there too.
*The cost of this gets deducted from your chosen birth package if you decide to hire me as your doula. This is for in-person birth clients only.
